Nourishing Nettles!

Nettle or Stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) has numerous uses with one of those being an early substitute for Viagra!
It has been used for thousands of years to help with pain from arthritis and fibromyalgia and my Mum stings herself with Nettles regularly to stop the pain and inflammation created by Carpel Tunnel Syndrome in her wrists.

The roots are used for prostate problems, it helps restore kidney function, and the leaves are high in protein and essential minerals (iron, magnesium and calcium to name a few) with a flavour similar to spinach.

It is fantastic for hay fever, dermatitis and uterine or gastrointestinal bleeding.

To find out more about this amazing herb watch this wonderful video where famous herbalists such as Rosemary Gladstar, Susun Weed and Matthew Wood explain why they love nettles, how to harvest and use them, and their many health benefits.

Check out this great article by Kathleen Jade who explains how to best make Nettle Tea and the other remarkable benefits Nettles have all backed up by scientific studies.
